Kyoshi John Venson, chief instructor of Just for Kicks, was born on Grand Master Sokon Matsumura's birthday (July 7th). He is an Internationally Certified 8thDegree Black Belt and resides in Chicago where he has been teaching for over 30 years. His chain of Martial Arts schools are traditional Okinawan Karate Dojo's which teach the classical principles of the Shuri-Ryu Martial Arts System.

Renshi Reginald L.Venson
Honors / Achievements:
Renshi Reginald L.Venson is one third of a rare trio, becoming the first son to follow his father into the U.S. Karate Hall of Fame. He also captured the 2003-2004 PKC season middleweight fighting championship along with Lightweight champion Dwight J. Venson, the first brothers to hold point titles in the same season in any organization. Tashi Venson was promoted to 5th Degree black belt in March of 2005, and is currently undergoing the extensive process required to become an Assistant Chief Instructor of Shuri-Ryu. Only two Yudansha are selected for this by the Inner Council of Shuri-Ryu in a given year.

Deshi Dwight Venson is the younger of the Venson brothers, and one of the top first tier martial artists in the nation. He was promoted to 3rd Degree black belt by the Inner Council of Shuri-Ryu in March of 2005. Deshi Venson is a standard bearer for Shuri-Ryu and has compiled an impressive list of accomplishments to compliment his rapid rank advancement.
